I spent my entire day today at Quakecon 2014, and since I get up around noon, this means I had to stay very late to make it a full day!

I want to start off by saying that everyone at ZOS were amazing; after putting on a two hour presentation, they directly went out to the hotel bar and talked with the fans, and gave interviews for what had to be close to another two hours!  I spoke at length with Nick Konkle about the game.  Nick was explaining the reasoning for bringing Stamina based play in to line correctly instead of just tweaking stamina damage; it is this type of detail that makes it clear that the ESO Developers not only listen to the player base, but also truly care about the game and want to makes sure changes are done in such a way that they add to the game's longevity through a solid foundation.

Even after giving interviews to the Media, Matt Firor and Paul Sage came out and spent time with us as well.  I let Matt and Gina know that we (BoR) are behind him and the team and would be happy to assist them in any way possible to keep ESO moving in the direction they have laid before us.  When you can talk to the leadership of a company, and they actually understand the product, listen to your comments and input then that company will surely succeed in the long run. Zenimax is certainly one of those companies.

I also met up with Rook and two of Mostly Harmless' members who are attending the Con and participating in the PvP trials (which they advanced to the next round today, so GOOD LUCK guys!)

After chatting, taking pictures with, and collecting signatures from the devs in my Imperial Edition artbook, Gina and Jessica and Brian Wheeler were kind enough to take us out to dinner at a local Chuy's TexMex!  There were fifteen or more of us and there was conversation about pretty much everything from Saturday morning cartoons to getting dizzy from First Person modes; a great time was had by all.  We parted ways about midnight as Most of the folks present have a long day ahead of them tomorrow.

Brian Wheeler is on the right (with the BIG smile!)  (I apologize for not having everyone's names)

The path forward for ESO looks very bright!  The Elderscrolling team will certainly be sharing our thoughts Sunday during our podcast on the vision ZOS shared with us today!

Wow, that sounds like a great day to me. Going out for dinner afterwards just makes me think even higher of ZOS. I'm getting the impression that they are pretty down to earth guys and gals there.
