Please post an introduction about yourself in here upon joining the BoR so we can better get to know each other.
Feel free to share anything of interest about yourself, previous Elder Scrolls games you've played, and what you expect to get out of BoR membership.
Greetings, I am Vince, Aka Karoneth. I am a 42 year old electronic engineer and IT manager living in Central NJ.
I started my gaming hobby around 1980 when I was given an Atari 2600. A couple years later, I learned to program my own games on my TI 99/4A, and graduated to a Commodore 128, Amiga 2000, and finally to PC's by 1993. I remember being very excited to get the RPG Pool of Radiance, which was an AD&D game for the C-64, and although I played RPG's prior to that, it was the first one that hooked me for months. I've been playing Elder Scrolls games starting with Arena in 1994, including Daggerfall, Morrowind, Oblivion and Skyrim. I also have been a pen and paper AD&D dungeon master for decades now, having started playing it around 1984. My current gaming group got its name around 1995, and I've been an officer in our MMO guilds since 2005, previously leading our DDO branch for 8 years, and currently leading our ESO branch for the Brotherhood of Redemption with about 500 members.
As for my MMO experience, I have thousands of hours in DDO (Dungeons & Dragons Online) since 2005, have led our branch there until Sept 2013, during which time I led and participated in hundreds of raids. I briefly had the highest AC of any character on any server in DDO (Narnak at 212 AC, summer 2012), had a max level crafter in all three schools and had at least seven capped characters. I also beta tested or played World of Warships, World of Warplanes, Vanguard, SWTOR, Neverwinter, and watched others play WoW, LOTRO, World of Tanks, and Rift so I have some experience with other MMO's.
My technical background includes having ran three electronic bulletin board systems where users would dial into via modem. I became a Fidonet Hub Coordinator and running BBS's was rewarding. I was the lead Beta tester for Harpoon Commander's Edition 2005, a naval warfare simulator for the PC made by AGSI / Matrix Games, and I currently work in the software development industry.
I hope to quest with existing friends and make some new ones in this game. I can't wait to explore ESO dungeons with some of you at my side for the first time, or fight alongside you as we combat the other factions in grand melees. Graphics in TES games, and the audio as well, are mind blowing and I know this will be no different, and the chance to fight alongside hundreds of allies in real time like in Skyrim, but with real live friends, wow. I'm not normally a PvP fan but I'll be all over those big faction fights.
It should be a fun number of years ahead of us! I plan to remain in ESO for years to come, and will commit the resources needed to ensure we grow and succeed in Tamriel. Please join me in this endeavor!

Greetings I am Ravalox Darkshire in Game (pretty much every game I play too)
IRL My name is Stephen (Steve is OK too) I live in North Texas (formerly lived in NJ (Central and North)). My gaming experience goes way back to Colossal Cave Adventure, Ultima III and later Doom (I've designed and published levels for Doom and the other ID titles). I have played Skyrim before Being in early beta for ESO, but I was mainly an Ultima fan way back when the original TES games were out, so I haven't played those, though I may go back and play them now that I have the Anthology.
I started playing MMORPGs at the very beginning of the genre (Beta testing UO); I dragged my Wife (Headache) and most of the kids into playing as well! I went on to work with the Sphere project that reverse engineered the engine and became a world designer. I also worked on other MMOs such as IrthOnline.
Prior to co-founding thee ESO branch of Brotherhood of Redemption with Karoneth, I've been a guild officer in the past (Ultima Online); I played Every Ultima starting with Ultima3 (then later backfilled 1 and 2) and stuck around in UO until just prior to the Samurai Empire expansion. I have played Diablo I and II online and have been invited to try out Diablo III by/with my son Paul. I have also installed DDO (again) and have been playing online there as well.
I work as an Engineer in a data and voice (converged) capacity and I have a programming background. I develop mods and addons for ESO and have recently taken over primary responsibility for Wykkyd's addons when Wykkyd decided to start work on a new MMO. I do love to create the worlds in addition to playing in them!
I have been playing pen and paper Dungeons and Dragons since 1980 and am currently playing with Karoneth and a group of long time friends via Oovoo.
I am definitely a PVE player. I favor quests and adventuring, but have been known to PVP in larger groups. I'm also known for enjoying the maintenance of a game, administration of the guild and development of supporting software.

One day I shall come back, yes, I shall come back. Until then there must be no tears, no fears, no anxieties, just go forward with all your beliefs and prove to me that I am not mistaken in mine.
I'm Jack, and I am a twenty-something from Southeast Wisconsin. By trade I am an aspiring Filmmaker, and by hobby I am an avid gamer and devourer of Bacon.
I got into the Elder Scrolls series via Fallout back in College. Since then, I've put untold hours into Skyrim, Oblivion and of course ESO. Before that, I grew up on Nintendo back with the NES and have worked my way up to the Wii U and PS4 today. If I had to give a reason to why I love the hobby so much, it would probably be the escapism and sense of adventure they provide. Hence why you will find me in game more than likely searching out every Skyshard, exploring dungeons or tackling a quest. Gotta love the thrill of an adventure, right?
I am not sure yet whether I will get into the PvP side of things, but I am certainly not opposed to taking a stab at it. Either way, with ESO being only the 3rd MMO I've ever played (the first regularly), the prospect of grouping with other people to tackle PvE sounds more appealing than fighting other players like the majority of other games out there.
On the film side of things, I have had a rather fulfilling history thus far. From 2008 to 2013, I studied Film and Broadcasting at Marquette University. During which I studied abroad in the United Kingdom in Twickenham for a year, and later taught camera work in Ahmedabad, India for a few weeks. I've been a part of several production groups in my area, including working part-time as a photojournalist for an ABC news station as well as directing a team of students to producing a Gracie Award winning documentary. From 2012 to 2014, I even ran my own non-profit entertainment website where we used to run nightly Livestream shows during the week and produced youtube videos on the weekends. Nowadays, with my time at the News station FINALLY coming to an end (never really was a fan of it, long story), I am hoping to get back into creating videos for Youtube once again.
As for what I hope to get out of BOR, honestly I just want to make some good friends that I can hang out with while I venture online. ESO is a wonderfully expansive world that I've had the misfortune of exploring mostly by myself up until now. With any luck, I am hoping that will turn around now with being a part of this Guild. (Otherwise I may just have to guilt trip my girlfriend into creating an account :P)
That's probably enough about me for now. I am looking forward to getting to know more of you out there, and if anyone has any questions about me, please feel free to ask!
My name is Brian aka Tallanka (and Frederac is my primary character in the Daggerfall Covenant). I work in the Ed Tech department at a small university in the northwest corner of Alabama. I am 33 and married with two kids, so when I get on TeamSpeak don't be surprised if you hear some banter in the background.
I was first introduced to the world of Elder Scrolls by a friend when he introduced me to Morrowind. I have played Morrowind, Oblivion, and Skyrim, though I am sad to say that I haven't completed any of them. Surprisingly enough, I have put more hours into Elder Scrolls Online than I have any other Elder Scrolls game. Playing ESO has rekindled my desire to explore more of the Elder Scrolls series, and I hope to delve back into those games soon. I was first introduced to video games when my family got a NES for christmas in the late '80s. From the NES I migrated to the Sega Genesis, DreamCast, N64, Gamecube, PS2, Wii, and my current console is a WiiU. I first got into PC gaming when I played Jedi Knight: Dark Forces II. Although I have played rpgs on the console, my love for the genre really started when I played Baldur's Gate for the first time on PC. Playing that game really opened my eyes to the quality of rpgs that were available on the PC.
I have played ESO since the launch of Tamriel Unlimited, and though I started playing the game with a couple of friends, I would say that primarily my gameplay has been closer to that of a single player RPG, levevling up my Bosmer Nightblade Tallanka to level 44 in the Aldmeri Dominion. I recently rolled a Breton Sorcerer to play on the Daggerfall Covenant with @michaelramm, and he found the advertisement for BoR and shared it with me. I am looking forward to being a part of an active, friendly community, so that I can start to experience ESO as the Elder Scrolls MMO that it was designed to be. I haven't attempted any AvA yet, and though I am more of a PVE player than a PVP player, I would be open to trying it out. I also look forward to having people to converse with as I explore the world of Tamriel in ESO.
My name is Devised and I'm very excited to have been admitted into your fine guild! While I played ESO throughout the BETA and into the first few months of live, I took a break for another game and have chosen to return and couldn't be happier. I am 31 years old, I work for the Army Corps of Engineers at a Lock and Dam on the Mississippi River, and I also am an Assistant Winemaker at a small local winery where I live in Wisconsin. I've spent a few years in the Army, and am engaged to be married next summer.
I've been playing MMOs for about 11 years now and I am a PvE junkie! Delves, dungeons, raids, random grouping I love it all! Currently, my main is a VR11 Breton Magika Templar (healer/caster dps), but I'm also lvling several other toons as well.
Thank you all for the invite and I cant wait to get to know some of you and have some fun taking down some dungeons!
I'm Christie AKA Selena, Selena Ravo, or Kurai ( Dark in Japanese) , its a pleasure to join BOR. I believe my first MMO was Sherwood by Lady Marian when I was nine or ten (I'm seventeen now haha), then I transferred over to Runescape because of character creation options. It turned out I loved RS 'till the day they switched servers. I enjoy RPG's more than any other genre of game. My favorite series would have to be Elder Scrolls or Final Fantasy (if you count it as one) because I enjoy the plot. I'm usually a loner in MMORPG's so please bear with me, I'm not used to being in a group or guild or such so I'll be shyer than I normally am.
I'm also a terrible anime freak, aka Otaku. I 'fangirl' very easily at something I find cute, so yeah typical teenage girl on that one. I am a pacifist so it greatly upsets me when someone gets hurt, physically or emotionally. I have a strong desire to comfort or at the least listen to those who upset over anything, even if it may be small. So please know you'll have someone to talk to if need be. Oh, and I'm more PVE than anything else.
I look forward to seeing you all in-game!
My name is TJ aka Vanilla I am 21 years old I am a part time college student, super stoked to join BOR. I Started my MMO career way back when I was around 10 years old with world of Warcraft. I enjoy mmo's the most, but I also play plenty of other games as well. I am a huge fan of the Elder Scrolls series. And i am really enjoying ESO I am VR2 Breton Sorc. Ever since graduating High School I've been kind of a loner since lots of friends went off to school, I also have a tough time getting along with people my age, I just tend to act more mature than my age, and i am just looking for a online group to talk to and game with. I'm also tend to be kind of quiet so i hope joining BOR can help me work on my weakness's.
Looking forward to gaming with you all!
I'm @FadedJeans. My main toon is Bran, a Breton Templar healer.
My actual name is Michael and I am 45. My wife, son and I live here in sunny Fort Lauderdale, Florida. Outside of ESO and my professional life I enjoy cooking, gardening, raising butterflies, wood turning, shooting sports, wine, coffee and escaping to Disney with the missus.
I’m a vet like a lot of people in the guild, though all I did was a six-year stint in the US Navy, most of it out at sea as a Gator Navy Hole Snipe and then again on a Destroyer Tender. (I'm also a fan of Kipling-esque Capitalization and the Oxford Comma) - Two Med cruises, a North Atlantic, West Pac, Suez, Panama. Did the Persian Gulf thing, Mogadishu, Bosnia/Herzegovina, spent some time in Guam, Sasebo – a whole lotta been-there-done-that kind of things, not a whole lotta good conduct medals. Sigh. Not even one.
Along with a few partners (including my wife) I run two small technology companies with about 13 employees. It keeps me pretty busy, though almost always in front of a computer. My free time is unpredictable, interruptible and composed almost exclusively of stolen moments, so I rarely know when I’ll be in Tamriel or when I’m leaving. You’d see me more often in TS were it not for that. That’s why I really love scheduled/structured events like the TRIALS. I do my best to block out those times, show up and have a blast.
ESO? I love everything about the game, really. Apart from a 4 month break I’ve been here since Beta as a console gamer import, having found BoR through a Google ad.
I’ve been around computers and RPG since I first saved programs to cassette tapes and rode my oversized 10 speed to the comic book store to buy the latest issue of chainmail magazine. Despite that, this is my first MMO, and BoR has made it a fantastic experience.
My gaming resume includes first edition D&D, GURPS, White Wolf, World of Darkness, yada yada. The last time I played WoW was before it went MMO. Mass Effect and Dragon Age are my favorite Xbox games.
I’m grateful to be part of the family and love the people I’ve found here. Thanks for having me!
If there’s anything you need please don’t hesitate to ask. If I can’t take care of it myself, I’ll be glad to shake the tree for you and help you get what you need.
I am Xaellen and I am grateful to be a part of Brotherhood of Redemption. I began playing computer games in the early 90’s with games such as Castle Wolfinstein 3D, Doom, and other id Software titles. My first MMO experience was with Everquest (aka Evercrack) and I loved it. My first Elder Scrolls game was Skyrim and fell in love with the world. It is the game by which I judge all other games.
I have been playing ESO on and off since release and really enjoy the fusion of an Elder Scrolls title with an MMO. I have experimented around a lot with different builds and classes, but have only taken 2 characters past level 40, both of them Sorcs. I also enjoy crafting, but have found my lack of funds (and bank space) a real limitation to progress. So I have decided to get serious about my main (Xaellen, currently lvl 47, Breton) and focus on getting him to the Veteran ranks.
In real life, my name is Ron and I am a 30-something IT professional. My office is shutting down at the end of the month due to a merger so I am in the process of looking for a new job. I am also getting married this month and am very excited about that.
I look forward to getting to know everyone better and learning more about what this game has to offer.
I am Tybi. My real name is LaMar. I'm a 38 year old rail vehicle engineer from the DC Metro area. I started gaming in the 80's with the Atari 2600. From there I started doing a little Basic programming in elementary school with the Tandy Color Computer (TRS-80). I'm jealous of you guys that had C64s and Amigas! After that it was off and on over time... the NES, Sega Genesis (with Sega CD), and PlayStation consoles. I really got into online gaming when Tom Clancy's Splinter Cell received online support. The rest was history.
Some other activities I'm currently involved in is motorcycle riding, photography, a handyman, "the friend that builds and fixes computers", and the list goes on... I am also a former amateur radio operator (I messed up on renewing my license).
I play a lot of Arma 3. That is one of my favorite online games because of the almost limitless possibilities.
I started playing MMOs with Final Fantasy XI. I had absolutely no friends that were into PC gaming or even MMOs. I ran around in FFXI baffled most of the time, and didn't figure out how to level my character until maybe a year later (sad, I know). Eventually I discovered some folks at work that were playing it, but it was hard to coordinate anything with our different schedules (my organization does not close a single day of the year).
Fast forward, and my son turned old enough to game online. I bought 2 copies of WoW and paid for two subs so we could play together. I eventually got busy and he surpassed me in levels by quite a bit. He's up to several high level characters now (been playing for about 7 years). I eventually tried other MMOs too like Rift and FFXIV.
I've played but not completed Oblivion and Skyrim. Those really got my attention, so when I learned of TESO, I was super excited. My son and I played the beta, but I went on and pre-ordered the game for myself and paid the sub. Since launch I've only leveled my DK to 19 so far. This is mainly because of not having anyone steady to play with.
I am a very dedicated and down to earth person. When I get involved with a group or organization, I like to stick with it for the long run.
Looking forward to this all! Thank you for accepting my app! See you guys and gals out there! :-)
Hello! I'm Heori, also known as Matt or "Bear", and while I introduced myself in another thread, I have since become a member and thought that a wordier introduction was in order.
At the time of this writing, I am 31 years of age, married six years, have a dog, and no kids (with no plans of changing that). I am currently a student studying Computer Science with a concentration in programming and a minor in Mathematics. My love of gaming was what drove me to try CS, and I currently plan to try my hand at developing an independent title. I'm not really seeking employment in the game industry (which we all know is fairly volatile), but it was definitely my desire to better understand the development process that brought me to where I am at.
I decided to go back to school after several years of being a chef and realizing that--while I love cooking--I hate cooking for people professionally. Actually, being a chef made me slightly misanthropic and agoraphobic, and, due to my height, caused my shoulders and back to hurt constantly from hunching over. My once jovial demeanor was replaced by a venomous rage that I had never experienced before, and I made a lot of my wait staff cry. Actually, it wasn't that bad; I only made one or two cry. Leaving food service was like being able to breath again, and in the two years since my spine has mostly recovered.
I've been a gamer for a very long time, as I'm sure most of you are, as well. My father bought my brother and I an NES before leaving for Desert Storm/Desert Shield, and it has proudly been a part of my life since. I ventured into the MMO genre as an outlet for my "geekier" interest during high school; I was a jock and EverQuest/Ultima Online were the closest thing I could play to D&D without "ruining my image" that I sadly cared so much about (didn't want to look like a nerd in front of my high school girlfriend). At some point during my first round at college, I decided that the geeks were cooler than the jocks and stopped caring what everyone else thought (high school girlfriend became my college girlfriend, and she didn't seem to mind). MMOs became my gateway to D&D, Warhammer 40k, and pretty much every form of geek culture that I have embraced (also, my college girlfriend became my wife).
Other than EQ and UO (and of course, ESO), I have also played WoW, Star Wars Galaxies, The Lord of the Rings Online, Star Wars: The Old Republic, Guild Wars, Guild Wars 2, Wildstar, and a number of other free-to-play titles. WoW and ESO are the only ones that have actually lasted and stay on my "regular rotation".
Outside of school, married life, and gaming, I usually hit the gym 4-6 times a week. I'm not a fitness buff at all, but I do enjoy the pump I get after lifting. My wife works for the university here and her position requires her to live on campus year-round, so I actually don't leave campus very much.
In Tamriel, I mostly play a VR12 Nightblade named Heori and currently I run a Greatsword/Bow Stamina dps build. I like to do a bit of everything; in other games I have done everything from casual grinder to hardcore raider (as both main tank and dps) to competitive PvPer. To me, the most important thing is to have fun with what you're doing and to have fun with the people you're doing it with. I haven't been with BoR long, but I can honestly say that this is first guild I have been a part of in years that I've actually enjoyed grouping with the members of.
Hello everyone! My name is Truman, I am 30 years old and live in North Texas. You can find me in game by the names Flocke, Cuadan, or Akubura.
I am a happily married man to my wife Renee of 7 years and have a 6 year old son that is soon to hit the MMO's (he is more passionate of a gamer than I ever was at that age) I am currently in between jobs as a IT Administrator, as I got laid off due to lack of work at my last gig. (Guess I did my job a little too well!) Right now until the next opportunity comes I'm working as an Auditor for Hyatt Hotels and going back to college in January.
My MMO career started with The Realm and OLD point and click graphical MMO that was quite ahead of it's time back in the days! Next stop was Everquest which I really enjoyed until my baby, my favorite MMO of all time was released.... Dark Age of Camelot. I spent 7 years playing the game on the Bors server (Midgard for life!) I had a hunter Arrowsmith (I know stupid name but I was young!) Long story short to this day I have not found a game that has drawn me in as much as DAOC.
From there I went to World of Warcraft and Warhammer Online, EQ2, The Secret World, DDO, Darkfall, Archeage, Terra, Aion, Guild Wars, Guild Wars 2, Star Wars The Old Republic, Age of Conan, LOTRO, Rift, FF11, FF14, Wildstar. I mean I can go on but you get the drfit I'm a huge MMO fan and I try them all, even tho with a family I have less time to dedicate to my passion, I still have that fire in my heart for the games. I just love the social aspects and immersion that MMO's offer, even tho in real life I'm quite an introverted individual!
My main is a Redguard Nightblade but I'm power leveling a Khajiit Dragonknight right now, and I cannot wait to meet up and explore all the new content in ESO. (I took quite a break after all my friends left the game months after launch) But what I'm more excited about is finding a guild to call home no matter what game we jump to. I had an amazing guild in DAOC but that was before social media and we never really exchanged contact information. I want that feeling again of being ingrained into an amazing guild, where you log in sometimes just to talk! I miss the days of having a close group of friends to play MMO's with.
If anyone is wanting to make an alt and level up together just message me in game @trumanlee4 I'm only level 11 with the new guy so It won't take that long to catch up! I do have somewhat different hours, I mostly game in the afternoon 2-8pm and early morning after 8am, but on my days off (usually Wednesday and Thursday I'm free at all hours) I work the night shift 11-7 pm is the cause of this weird schedule.
My name is John I am 27, live just outside of Bloomington Indiana, am married, have 2 dogs and a cat, get paid to listen to podcasts and audio books, and have been playing the Elder Scrolls series since Morrowind. I mainly play FPS's and MMO's but I have also taken a liking to Heroes of the Storm. I took a long hiatus to play some ESO on xbox. I sold my xbox and decided to pick it back up for PC. I am more enthusiastic for the game more than ever with the recent additions and for what is to come. I am looking for a guild that is a community. I have been part of several guilds that have fallen apart or died off do to inactivity and from what I can gather BoR does not seam to be that way. I will normally be on between 1330-1930 EST. I have no life during the week so I play games. My main toon is Sumerium, a lvl 10 DK (i know, lowbie but i just started back up like a few days ago so im working on it). I look forward to playing with you all.
