Hiya Korganno!! Except for some of your specifics.. our stories our pretty much the same! I'm a year older is all but I'm medically retired as well but a Computer Scientist :P My very first computer was an Apple II and the entire system (1981) was purchased with a 2nd mortgage on the home :) My first PC was about 2800 as I recall, similar to yours but a 386 DX, SB Card, 256 MG Hard Card, dot matric printer, dual floppy and the 15" EGA (whooooo)!! And it was so much cheaper than the MAC offerings at the time and I got so much more for my money! O yeah.. I also got the 1200 bps modem card too :P My first modem was a 300 bps acoustic coupler. :) And my very first true MMO as on PC Link, Neverwinter Nights. :) I recall paying per hour to play and having bills of around $300-400 a month. Ahhh.. those were the days! I still recall the thrill I got when I got my first ISDN line too.. 128k thruput.. whow! I paid over 150 bucks a month for that duplex line :) And it went down at least once a day! But.. as a pioneer user... I would do it all over again! The thrill of writing code and seeing the results; waiting for a tape to load.. 20 minutes and playing Zork or Castle Wolfenstein! :) But don't bump the desk!! Have to start all over again. Today, we get pissed when we have to wait 5 seconds for something to load :)
Well.. his is the 21st Century. :) I'll see you around m'friend!! :)
Hello, my name is Aaron, I'm married to mac51. We both just recently joined the guild. I've played PC games as long as I can remember. My main reason behind joining this guild was to meet new people and share my elder scrolls adventures with my wife. Looking forward to seeing you in Tamriel. ( My main character name is Auron Snow, and my wife's is Padme Snow)
I am Cecil, a retired MD, age 70. My wife and I have a son, a daughter, and 2 grandchildren, with number 3 due any day now.
I have been playing computer games since Commodore 64 days and went through C-128 and Amiga before switching to PC. My current desktop is one I built myself to insure adequate specs for gaming.
I prefer RPGs and have played numerous series, including Fallout, Crysis, Assassin's Creed, Far Cry, Witcher, Half-Life, Bioshock, Deus Ex, and others. I started Elder Scrolls with Oblivion, then played Morrowind, Skyrim, and all their DLCs. ESO is my first MMORPG, which I originally decided to try because it included the solo, PVE-type gaming I preferred. I have recently enjoyed some group play and would like opportunities for more group PVE. I have no interest in PVP.
My ESO ID is c363b. My main character, Kaelond, is a >400 level Breton nightblade. He completed most of the quests in all alliances through Cadwell's Silver and Gold quests before One Tamriel. He is a master in all crafts and has learned all but a few of the traits. I can craft trait items for research for guild members who can supply needed mats.
About 3 months ago I created another 4 characters, with at least one in each alliance. My original plan was to use them as mules, but I now am concentrating on developing those characters through daily crafting writs and main quest lines in their respective alliances. I hope to boost their advancement with cross-alliance PVE group activities with the guild. They currently are levels 33-35. I would like to do more of the Undaunted quests, other group dungeons, Craglorn quests, and group bosses I have avoided for lack of organized groups to join for those activities. Only one real-life friend plays ESO, and all his characters are lower levels than my new 4. I recently obtained a headset and have used both Teamspeak and Discord for group communication.
My name is Rick. Real life me is a 37 y/o military medic and civilian paramedic. I am a full time student trying to upgrade to PA, after retiring from the service in a couple years. I have played many games, except CoD (in real life, getting shot doesn't result in respawning at the start point). My MMO experience consists of FFXI and ESO. I may get into FFXIV but haven't heard enough good things yet to make the jump.
In game me is primarily a redguard Templar stamina DPS (scoutmedic), but I am also working on a sorc (wrangler) and a DK tank (Hogwash). My primary job in FFXI was Paladin tank. Haven't gotten the hang of tanking in ESO yet though. I have all extended areas unlocked, including DB and TG, and have limited experience with DSA, AA, and HRC. Only run into SO that I have tried was a total disaster. Haven't tried the new dungeons in imperial city yet, as I just got back to the game after a rough semester.
Looking forward to meeting everyone on TS and in game. Hope everyone is having a great holiday season.
My names John, i'm a recently graduated high school student and i'm still trying to get my life started. I play a wide variety of games including FPSs, RPGs, MOBAs, Strategy, and of course MMOs
In game i'm Mulgro Garesh, an orcish templar. I've joined the guild to hopefully learn more about the game and find people to enjoy it with as I've only had it for a handful of days and have no friends of mine who have the game. I currently dont have any of the add-on's but plan to get them as soon as possible. Thats about all I've got lol
Greetings...I've been playing computer games since the Apple II but new to team speak..so If i don't respond just use a bigger hammer. I'll ask my sons to give me a tutorial. Been playing ESO for a couple months and like the environment. Hope to see you in game. Any advice would be great. Also what could I donate to the guild bank that might be useful? My toon is 44 level.
